What the extension handles

After you agree to enable cleanup, TimeToGoTabs reads open-tab titles, URLs, last-activation times, and tab state (including whether a tab is active, pinned, loading, or playing audio). It uses this information only to identify inactive web tabs, close eligible tabs, and let you reopen saved links. It does not read page bodies, forms, passwords, cookies, or incognito tabs.

Saved records contain a title, URL, activity timestamp, saved timestamp, closure timestamp when available, and a randomly generated record identifier. Preferences, consent time, and cleanup status are stored locally. Temporary tab activity tracking is stored in Chrome's session storage and expires when the browser session ends.

Local storage and security

Archived tab records are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being written to Chrome's local extension storage. A non-exportable encryption key is stored in IndexedDB in the same browser profile. This limits exposure of archive files but does not protect against a person or malicious software with control of your device or browser profile. Preferences and consent records are not encrypted. Prior unencrypted records from older versions are encrypted when you agree to the updated disclosure; the extension cannot erase historical device backups.

No transfer, advertising, or analytics

The extension does not send your tab data to Milich LLC, sell it, share it with third parties, use analytics, show advertising, or sync records to an account. Milich LLC cannot read your local archive. When you choose to reopen a saved URL, Chrome connects to that website normally, under that website's privacy practices.

Your choices and retention

Cleanup is off until you expressly agree. You can pause it, change the inactivity period, or withdraw consent in the extension. Pausing or withdrawing consent stops tab inspection and cleanup but does not delete existing records. You can delete individual saved records or delete all saved records. Bulk deletion is also available before accepting the disclosure. Records are otherwise retained without automatic expiration. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data, including its key. Deleting the browser profile also removes access. Saved links do not preserve unsaved page content or form drafts.

Permissions

tabs: read tab metadata to identify inactive tabs and restore their URLs. alarms: schedule periodic cleanup. storage: save preferences, consent, and encrypted archive records. unlimitedStorage: retain a growing local archive without the standard extension storage quota; physical disk limits still apply.

Limited Use

TimeToGoTabs uses information received from Chrome APIs in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used solely for the disclosed tab-management features, never for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated profiling.

Optional website email signup

If you sign up on this website and agree to receive updates, Milich LLC stores your email address, the signup time, and the version of the consent disclosure in a Cloudflare D1 database. We use this information to maintain our TimeToGoTabs updates list and send product news and updates. Signup is optional and is not required to install or use the extension. This website signup does not upload your tabs or link your email address to the extension’s local archive.

Cloudflare hosts the website and processes signup data for us. Like other web hosts, it processes request information such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver and secure the service. The signup database does not store IP addresses. We do not sell the signup list. We retain your signup until you request removal or we discontinue the list. To withdraw consent, request deletion, or ask about your information, email info@milich.ai. Access to the list is restricted to authorized access through our Cloudflare account.

Changes and questions

Material changes to data practices will be disclosed in the extension and this policy will receive an updated date. For privacy questions or support, contact Milich LLC at info@milich.ai. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include and use them to respond to your request.
